Interior Design Show 2017

Lifestyle, Women's Fashion

Description

Who went and checked out the Interior Design Show 2017? It was great this year! I found my dream kitchen that looked like poured cement and a tub that I’m going to go ahead and say I need in my life. Picture that cement tub just sitting in a big open room with a killer view – yes please. We also watched a team heating and bending glass into cool sculptures right in from of us.

IDS 2017 was presented by National Bank and their booth was really fun. They had set up The Design Lab for personal design consultations with Cityline where you could meet one on one with design experts Shai DeLuca-Tamasi and Sharon Grech. They also had a big interactive display where I was able to create and name my own personal colour of the year. I came up with the softest gray with just a touch of blue, and then I was able to use a spray paint can to virtually paint a room with my colour to see how it looked. If only it was that easy to paint my actual house!

I also loved the wall of Simon Chang high heels in each of the Pantone colours for the trend report for 2017. I’ll take one in each colour ;) So much to do and see at the show and a great reminder of why I love living in Toronto. Hubby and I even got to drink wine and actually have time to chat at the show while baby slept the day away in his comfy stroller. Parenting win!
