Sweater Weather

Lifestyle, Women's Fashion

Description

During the summer months my closet looks like a minimalist’s dream. Dresses and shirts hang nicely, each with their own space, and jeans folded neatly (read obsessively) below. In the winter it’s a minimalist’s nightmare and I blame it on my hoarding of every cozy sweater I can get my hands on. They say layering is key and I take that seriously, layering one sweater atop another in my outfits. The result is comfy cozy casual at it’s best.

On a particularly cold and blustery day, Catherine Cachia and I ventured out to Ashbridges Bay which is just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. For a lover of gray backdrops, I was smitten with the ethereal, misty gray landscape behind me which was a welcome break from my usual gray cement walls ;)

Catherine Cachia is such a talented photographer but she also has a great blog, The Art of Old, filled with the best vintage fashion finds. Check out her photography here and her blog here. XO

P.S. The blue mohair cropped sweater is from Maska Mode and my absolute favourite this season. It’s such good quality and made in Italy. I’m excited to let you know that Maska Mode is going to offer my readers a $500 gift card to their beautiful store for a Valentine’s contest we’re hosting this week! Check out @laceandbraids on Instagram later today for details.
