Sweet & Simple Milk Braids

Beauty

Description

We love the look of milk braids around here and the best part is they take a total of three minutes to do and will last all day. Our kind of hair do ;)

Start with the hair divided in to two equal parts and put them in front of the shoulders. You are going to braid each side using just a simple basic braid but the trick is to braid forwards so that it lies against the head smoothly. If you are doing it on someone else stand in front of them to braid and it will happen naturally. If you are doing it on yourself just remember to pull the hair forward and up a bit as you braid. This style works better on longer hair but you can cheat it by starting your braids at ear level instead of at the base of your neck.

Once you have your two braided pigtails just layer them on your head like a headband. You want to take one, lay it across the top of your head and use a bobby pin to secure it on the other side (just where the other one is starting). Next take the second braid, and crossing over the end you just pinned, lay it either in front or behind the other one, so that you can see both braids in your headband. Tuck the end in under the other one and use a second bobby pin to secure. It will usually stay all day with just the two elastics at the bottoms of the braids and two bobby pins to pin them down on top of your head.
